Why it costs what it costs

Look closer. That is the whole argument.

Most belts are corrected-grain leather over a bonded core, punched with holes and glued at the edge. Ours are not, and the difference shows at 10 cm.

Full-grain, not corrected

The top layer of the hide is left intact, so the grain you see is the hide's own.

Nubuck lining

The underside is lined in full-grain nubuck, the surface that runs against your trousers.

Sealed, burnished edges

Edges are bevelled and sealed so they resist fraying — the first place a cheap belt fails.

How it is made

Four stages, one check at each

From hide selection to the final mechanism check — then dispatched from the EU in 24h on working days.

  1. 01

    Marking

Straps are marked out on Italian full-grain hides, working around the firmest sections so the belt resists stretching along its length.

  2. 02

    Cutting

Panels are cut to length — 90 (S), 100 (M), 110 (L) and 120 (XL) — and lined with full-grain nubuck so the belt holds its shape.

  3. 03

    Stitching & edge

The strap is stitched and its edges are sealed and burnished rather than left raw — the first place a cheap belt fails.

  4. 04

    Assembly & check

The buckle is fitted and the mechanism checked, then the belt is boxed and dispatched from the EU in 24h on working days.

How it works

No holes. One lever.

The ratchet track runs the length of the strap underside. The buckle grips it as you pull and releases when you lift the lever.

01

Thread the strap

Pass the strap through the buckle. The toothed track on the underside engages automatically as you pull.

02

Pull to your fit

Tighten in millimetre steps until it sits exactly where you want it — not one hole tighter, not one looser.

03

Lift to release

The lever on the underside of the buckle releases the track in one movement.

Materials

Italian leather, with sealed, burnished edges

What the product is made of, and where it is made — stated plainly, with no claims we can't stand behind.

Italian leather

The outer of every Harrow piece is Italian natural leather. Grain, colour depth and the way it takes on a patina come from the hide itself rather than a printed finish.

Finished edges

Edges are sealed and stitched rather than left raw, which is what keeps a slim wallet or strap from fraying at the corners in a pocket.

Buckle finishes

Automatic buckles are offered in brushed silver, brushed gun metal and a carbon-fibre pattern. The buckle is a separate component from the strap.

Before you buy

Questions people ask first

Sizing, fit and compatibility — answered before checkout rather than after.

How do I choose my belt size?

Measure your waist through the trouser loops and choose the next size up: 90 cm (S), 100 cm (M), 110 cm (L) or 120 cm (XL). The strap can then be trimmed to your exact measurement.

How is an automatic belt different from a classic belt?

An automatic belt has no holes. The buckle closes on a ratchet track, so the fit adjusts every few millimetres rather than every 2–3 cm, and the leather does not deform around a single hole.

Can I shorten the strap myself?

Yes. Automatic belts are designed to be trimmed to your own waist measurement so the strap ends where it should.

Which iPhone does a case fit?

Each case is made for one device generation. The model is stated in the product title and specification — check Settings → General → About on your iPhone before ordering.

Where are Harrow products made?

Products are made from Italian leather. Orders are dispatched from the EU.

What is the returns window?

14 days from delivery — the statutory EU withdrawal period, which we also apply to orders outside the EU. Items must be unused and in resaleable condition — conditions are listed on the Returns page.
